Experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultants needed! Robert Half Technology is seeking candidates in the Chicago, Illinois area to join an existing team working onsite with a local client as a Senior Project Manager. The main part of this role is responsibility for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. The ideal candidate for this position is able to effectively manage key projects as part of our client's strategic business plan. What you get to do every day

- States the RACI matrix for projects in a product line

- Co-operates with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

- Governs deployment scheduling in coordination with Dev Ops, Product Owner, and tech lead

- Initiates project planning

- Delivers detailed reporting to management on milestone completion, risk assessment, and project status

- Confirm that the functional requirements are met, tracked, and achievable

- Eventuates and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

- Assembles report from business analysts, QA leads, and technical leads into an analysis

- Supports to manage, classify, and identify risk for functional improvement requests

- Enhances the daily stand-ups, making sure they are brief, focused, and timely

- Provides project outlines with fitting ticket workflows and boards

- Make it easier for the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products

- Work in close cooperation with the Business Analyst, QA Manager, Product Owner/Product Manager, and Product Specialist

- Develops schedules and milestones with inputs from all other teams assigned to that product, manages project scope and timelines

- Collaborates and communicates with stakeholders, developers, technical team members and designers

- Assists to manage dependencies among cross-product teams

- Acts as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - ensuring the team is working effectively, clearing obstacles, and leading scrum ceremonies

- Schedules and runs the sprint planning and grooming meetings and tracks ticket assignments

- Works with Product Owner/Product Manager to ensure that the product vision and high-level business objectives are clear and achievable

- Collude with the Product Owner/Product Manager to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap

Job Requirements

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- We are particularly looking for candidates with proficiency using commonly accepted scheduling and project management tools

- You could be a good applicant for this position if you are familiar and comfortable with IT project management methodologies

- The person in this position should be flexible and focused

- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures

- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues

- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

- Define Project experience

- Department Projects experience desired

- Microsoft Office experience

- Can work independently with minimal supervision

- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant Project Management experience

- Project management skills, strong operational abilities, and demonstrated leadership and supervisory qualifications

- This position will be the best fit for a candidate with experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs

- You might be a good fit for this position if you have a Project Management (PMP) certification
