Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sales Rep in Chicago
The ideal candidate will be a creative and passionate salesperson, pursuing both large and small customers on a daily basis. Experience in the industry is important to understand how best to position the company to win as a small co-packer
Responsibilities • Learn and identify segments of the market and help to define the company’s unique value proposition to each segment • Develop and execute a sales plan to prospect new accounts, cultivate existing relationships, and drive a consistent flow of clients to achieve revenue targets • Outreach via multiple mediums (industry contacts, cold-call, emails, social media, etc.) to identify and close leads • Use a consultative, problem-solving approach with teammates and supervisor to accurately understand and communicate customer needs • Understand pricing requirements and work with supervisor to achieve competitive pricing and margins • Develop professional proposals and negotiate with customers to achieve a win-win • Use CRM tool on real-time basis to record all customer touch points and opportunities • Create weekly sales pipeline reports • Travel may be required within the Chicagoland area or throughout the U.S.
• BS/BA in relevant subject such as business, operations, supply chain
• 2 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales role with a proven track record of sales accomplishments and in positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
• Knowledge/understanding of manufacturing and supply chain procurement
