Job Description

Position Summary This is an role within the Centralized Transportation Department, this person will be responsible for Routing, Dispatching and Tracking Delivery Vehicles while monitoring DOT Compliance, Productivity, Safety, and assisting local management on identifying areas of improvement.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Complete daily Routing and Truck Diagramming activities in most efficient and effective manner
  • Utilize Business Intelligence tools to identify opportunities for improvement in driver productivity and route efficiency
  • Use Routing Software or similar tools to perform Route Optimization projects
  • Monitor Route performance through analysis of data from on board computer systems
  • Review On-Board computer data for Hours of Service problems and Safety violations
  • Give daily feedback to local management of safety issues, compliance problems, underperforming drivers, customer issues, etc.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Logisitics/Supply Chain Data Management experience
  • Process orientated experience/certifications - e.g., Six Sigma, ITIL

Required Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 – 2 years office or operation (warehouse, delivery, and supply chain) experience.
  • Strong analytical skills
  •  Effective communication skills – oral, written and presentation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating a sense of urgency and results orientation
  • Experience solving a variety problems that range from simple to more complex
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work second shift hours (approximately 12:00pm – 9:00pm) and schedule of Sunday – Thursday
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
