Summary of the Job:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the Company's monthly results from its international subsidiaries. The Accounting Manager develops and supervises a team of accountants and will possess and maintain a detailed knowledge GAAP. The Accounting Manager will be part of Controllership and will be the owner of various monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reporting requests. Quarterly US GAAP reporting including compilation of footnote information will be the primary focus, but monthly reporting to the CFO on internal KPIs will also be key. Additionally,. The Accounting Manager will be the primary point of contact and supervisor for international subsidiaries and will provide guidance on accounting for technical transactions, corporate policies, and ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting results by the international teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly reporting of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and related schedules under the rules set forth for nonpublic entities under US GAAP
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statement flux analysis
  • Lead the EMEA and APAC accounting teams which comprises approx. 20 team members across Europe and Asia
  • Ensure that the closing process for EMEA and APAC is completed in an accurate and timely manner, according to the internal deadlines
  • Support statutory and tax audits
  • Assist with month-end close procedures as necessary, including but not limited to journal entry and account reconciliation preparation and or review

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with nonpublic entity reporting under US GAAP as an accountant or auditor
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting
  • Experience managing a team in multiple locations and internationally
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. An ability to convey complex financial information and rules and concepts to a non-financial audience
  • Experience with reporting requirements and compliance with debt covenants a plus
  • Experience with BPC, Lawson GL, or Tableau desktop a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - both phone and email

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Approx. 20 team members across Europe and Asia


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or audit
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role
  • Familiarity with Accounting software

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent phone and computer use
  • Creating written communications
  • Able to sit/stand at a desk
  • Able to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally
  • Ability to host and attend meetings outside of US working hours and be accommodating to APAC and EMEA teams when they are in the office.
